CHICKEN RELLENO

CHICKEN RELLENO



INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 whole chicken, deboned
  • 1 kilo ground pork
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cans (140 grams) Vienna sausage, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded queso de bola
  • 1 can (113 grams) pimiento (substitute 1 big red pepper, sliced into squares)
  • ground pepper
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs

PROCEDURE:

1. Wash and clean the chicken. Wipe dry.

2. In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, beaten eggs, Vienna sausage, queso de bola bola and pimiento. Season with pepper.

3. Stuff the mixture into the chicken cavity. Push the whole hardboiled eggs in the middle of the mixture. To close the cavity area , sew the chicken skin together.

4. Wrap the chicken with katsa (cheesecloth) or with aluminum foil.

5. Steam to cook.

6. Cool a little before serving.
