CREMA de FRUTA
CAKE:
1 1/4 cup Cake flour
1/4 cup Corn and vegetable oil
1/3 cup Water
1/2 cup Granulated sugar
1/2 tbsp. Baking powder
1/8 tsp. Salt
2 pcs. Egg yolks
150 grams Egg whites
1/4 cup Granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. Cream of tartar
CREAM:
1 cup Granulated sugar
1 cup Evaporated milk
3/4 cup Water
3 pcs. Egg yolks
1/3 cup All-purpose flour
1 tbsp. Butter
TOPPING:
1 can Fruit cocktail
50 grams Alsa gulaman ( clear and unflavored )
1 1/4 cup Water
PROCEDURE FOR THE CAKE:
1. Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a bowl. Make a well at the center and add the oil, egg yolks, and water and heat until smooth.
2. In another bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form, add the sugar gradually and continue to beat until stiff but not dry.
3. Fold the egg yolk mixture into the meringue until fully blended, bake at 325 degree for 35 to 40 minutes or until done.
PROCEDURE FOR THE CREAM:
1. Except for the butter, dump all ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until mixture is smooth and thick. Remove from heat and add the butter. Use to top the cake.
