SYLVANNA
MERINGUE WAFERS:
1 cup finely chopped toasted cashew nuts
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
6 pcs. egg whites
cake crumbs
PROCEDURE:
. Combine cashew nuts, flour and half of the sugar
. Set aside
. Beat egg whites until soft peaks are formed
. Add remaining sugar and continue beating until stiff but not dry
. Fold in cashew mixture
. Spread meringue into greased baking sheets
. Bake in low temperature for 20 to 30 minutes or until brown
. Cut wafer into desire shapes and sizes
PREPARE FILLINGS:
BUTTER ICING
1 bar butter
3/4 cup confectioner sugar dissolved in 3/4 cup evaporated milk (chilled for 1 hour)
PROCEDURE:
. Cream butter until fluffy and soft
. Gradually add milk and sugar mixture beating after each addition
. Continue beating until smooth and fluffy
