How to bake Chocolate Chip Cheesecake


Chocolate Chip Cheesecake




CRUST
  • 2 cups crushed creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
FILLING
  • 3 egg
  • 2 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
GLAZE
  • 1/4 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon shortening
Procedure:

  • heat oven to 325 F. In medium bowl, combine crust ingredient; press in bottom and 1 inch up sides of 10-inch springform pan
  • Beat eggs in a large bowl. Add whipping cream cheese, sugar and vanilla; beat until smooth. Add whipping cream; blend well. stir in cup chocolate chips. Pour into crust-lined pan. Baked at 325 F. for 60 to 75 minutes or until center is set. ( to minimize cracking, place shallow pan half full of hot water on lower oven rack during baking.) Cool...
  • In a small saucepan, melt 1/4 cup chocolate chips with shortening over low heat, stirring constantly. Drizzle over cooled cheese cake. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Before serving, carefully remove sides of pan..
