How to Cook Almond-Coconut Rice

ALMOND-COCONUT RICE


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 (10-OUNCE) Package frozen whole-grain brown rice
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
  • 3 tablespoons flaked sweetened coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

PROCEDURE:

1. Microwave brown rice according to the package directions.

2. Heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add almonds and coconut to pan; cook 2 minutes or until lightly browned,stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add rice, cumin, and salt, stirring to blend.
