PASTA WITH RED AND WHITE SAUCE
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup all-purpose cream
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 6 cups leftover spaghetti
- with meat sauce
- 1 cup grated quick-melting cheese
PROCEDURE;
1. To make the white sauce, melt butter in a saucepan. Add flour to make a roux.
2. Pour in milk and add all purpose cream. Stir until mixture thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper. Set white sauce aside.
3. Preheat oven to 350F.
4. In an 8x12 inch baking dish, spread some of white sauce. Spread another leftover spaghetti on top. Spread a layer of grated cheese. Repeat the layering and finish with the grated cheese on top.
5. Bake for about 15 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve warm.
